Title: My first metal chucks
Post by: NIABesson on June 20, 2012, 10:57:19 AM
These are my self-made aluminium chucks:

Handles are 31.5 cm long and 2.2 cm thick, rope is 9.5 cm long (though as you can see the length can be adjusted pretty easily) and 0.7 cm thick. I put rice in the tubes and they weigh 200 g.

Well that's a nice one  :2thumbsup:

I wonder why you put rice in it, just to add some weight or does it have another effect??

I specially like the way you tied them, is that wood at the ends or did you use something else?

Once again, nice one :-D

The rice is to add weight, you are right. Actually I put it in small bags so it doesn't come out or make any noise.
And the ends are made of wood that I filed and "plugged in" ^^
