Title: Cochrans Stringed "Thin Chucks"
Post by: TuKongChucks on August 06, 2008, 03:13:20 AM
I just got my order from Cochrans (ultimateweapons.org) of 3/4" Thin "speed chucks" Cool green with black bands. 1 1/2" quad stringed.

Speed: They are pretty damn fast, all I need to say really here.
Weight: They are really light, it takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of them they feel really good.
Look:  They look damn cool in the light and will be perfect for my upcoming competition.
The strings seem a little imperfect.  A few loops pulled out and are pulling out further after about 10 min. of using them.  Spinning them is real smooth, although I think the wood where the ropes spin should be a little smoother, because if it breaks the rope I have no clue how to fix this style of chuck(Prochux style with the pin in it.)

They look great in doubles aswell as singles, they are balanced well, just one stick of one of the sets is about a cm longer than the others.

All in all id say about a 7.5/10

I think waxing the holes would help make them spin a whole lot smoother, good review man :thumb:
