i made these awesome nunchucks that whistle. i made them out of copper so i could drill the holes with ease.
they are kinda heavy, but still really awesome. and i'm going to try and get a different rubber cap for the top, because these ones are very bulky, and ungly. but it's all i could find. also, i may drill more holes for a better whistling sound, and to take a little more wight off them.

They look great, good job. 8-) now you need matching copper tonfa's and bo. I was going to do something like that "no whistle though" a awhile back until I calculated the price. :whahaa They will turn green unless you coat it with something.
-
Polish them with Brasso whenever they tarnish. They will tarnish no matter what but heat, cold, air, and oil from your skin will make them turn a nasty green very quickly.
-
yup yup. i polished them once already. :thumb:

Those look great man :thumb:

They look great. How do they sound?
-
nice. How effective is the whistle?
Where did you get the copper caps from, its just what I am looking for to finish off my chucks.
Have you thought about lighter tubing like aluminium, or thin walled steel tubing. you can get some from DIY stores as shower curtain rails.
I by thin walled steel tubes for my cucks and I can get 4 sets (8sticks) out of a 9GBP pipe, with each stick 30.5cm long.

I know them as "dead end" or "stoppers", and can be bought in any hardstore (or where they sale copper pipes, like home depot)

opk, i will make a video with them today.
also, i thought about using aluminium, but it wanted to go with something that was alittle bit out of the norm.

wow!! those chucks look great... can't wait for a vid with the actual sound of them...
the idea of using copper is good, but don't those pipes make your hands stinks after chucking or handling them?I don't know why but I don't like the smell they leave in my hands...
they look cool, so, nevermind, I was just being "princess" lol

whoa!! nice whistle chux!! :daah:
does it goes whistling even if the tip has caps?
* hoping we can make a tune when holding some hole combinations.. then if it happens, you've just invented a new musical instrument :2thumbsup: sweet!!
