Anyone had a go at converting a chain set (perhaps a broken BB set) into a cord set. And any photos on how this has turned out?

Also, any help on removing a rivet would be appreciated.

My apologies if this has been a topic already, I'm a bit busy to hunt it down right now.

Kriztov made a video I think. Or at least had loads of pictures of this exact thing... :-/

To remove the pin, put a small drill bit or pokey of some sort into the hole, onto the pin (but not the chucks - so it has to fit through the hole) and hammer it a little and the other end should come out, and you can grab it with pliars.

If you have a fixed rivet, drill it out - starting with smallest size drill bit it could possibly be going up intil it falls apart. Note: You may have to drill a bigger hole then the hole the rivet went through to accommodate the metal enlarging inside.
