Need a good knot
O.k I've got my nunchaku so that I've got a cord coming out of the top and bottom side holes. I just need a simple strong knot to hold them there.

Try a figure 8 stop knot. That's what I did, then you can just poke the knot into one of the holes to get it out of the way, so the rest of your cord lays fluch.

Something you may want to try its totally up to you but this is a suggestion that im totally happy with. I posted it here, I dont really know knots, but this is very easy to do and holds extremely well.

figure 8 is good and then when its done just put some airfix type glue onto the knot whcih will set it solid.

Figure of 8 is no stronger than the standard overhand/granny knot. So i'd use the later over the two as it's smaller.
