bamboo nunchaku

i have mass amounts if bamboo that grows in my yard  have cut and fire cured some for a new prject(other then making pipes lol )
bamboo nunchaku so fari have to wait another week for full cure but then im thinking

allot of sanding pollishing, prolly connecting the cord the norm way but about the wieght i have an idea

so far allot of the pipes i make that are the size of chucks are really light tooo light so
i was thinking maybe some insalating foam with somewashers for wights in the bottems
what ya think any ideas

ill post some pics as soon as i get it as its done curing maybe a little walkthrough even tho i many of you prolly dont
have a bunch oif bamboo in your yard lol

Hey that would be a good Idea. I once thought about that since we have lots of bamboo hear. But I think they are heavy and hollow inside and easy to break so in the end I gave up the thought. Please tell me when its done, and you try out the product bro

after there cured they are pretty strong i have fighting staffs made outa the same stuff and there pretty hard to split  plus id hope the insalating foam (the expanding stuff that puffs up) will help with it being more structual but yeah ill post more as it comes allong   plus there more for show then use id think even tho id still chuck the hell outa em lol

I made some solid bamboo chucks , mine were from an old chair , I drilled holes into the top part then glued braided string into the holes with supergleu , 2 layers of that then sawdust mixed with pva glue to fill the holes , they make nice light chucks

The bamboo you have is solid, or is like a pipe/tube?
