Hi guys, new member here   :-D

I've only just got into nunchaku  :chuck: and I have been lurking this forum for a few weeks.

I would like to thank all the members here, especially those who have posted DIY pics/guides as that is where I have got all my inspiration from!

So here is my collection so far:

This is the first pair that I made. They are made of pine and measure 290ml x 25ml. The cord is ~70ml.

These are my PVC practice chux. They measure roughly the same as the pine ones.

This was made from a piece of scrap wood  :lmfao:. Not sure what type of wood it is but they are fair bit heavier than the pine ones. Measures about the same again.
The pattern/grip was done using a file.

The smaller pair are made of oak and measure 210ml x 25ml with ~220ml cord.
The larger ones are made of pine again and measure 355ml x25ml with ~70ml cord. I got the idea for the grip here:

These are a work in progress. They will end up being fire-chux once they are finished. I saw a guide on the T-swivels on this site somewhere but I cant find it again sorry.
All you need is 2 bolts, a drill, a file and a hacksaw. Saw bolt at desired length, drill a hole and file the head round. There you have it!

EDIT: Found the post: http://www.freestyleforum.net/index.php?topic=11012.0

I'm not so sure what to use as a chain, is there a website everyone buys chain from? If someone could give some advice here it would be appreciated  :2thumbsup:

All of the corded chux use 3ml braided nylon cord and were strung using this method:

I made a couple of new oak pairs

I also finished my swivel pair and made some firechux. Can't wait to light them up  :-D

I used Kevlar thread to hold it together because I didn't want any exposed metal on the wick.
Decided not to put Kevlar on the swivel pair for now as they are dangerous enough without fire  they weight a ton.
