these are a set of three foamys i made, 2 with wooden core dowels wraped with pipe insulating foam about 6 bucks a piece in parts.
ill be lending these out at my workshop for those too scared of hard wood.
the grip is serendipitously amazing fingers going in the grooves made by the electric tape.

these are my favorite pairs the uv reactive gaffers tape is also really grippy and absolutely brilliant under UV

heres every one i made

these are my prochux given new uv clothes

my new singles faves a little thinner than prochux but with uv reactive club tips on the ends.

these are the chucks i made out of canes a while back given new life with UV deco
these are also the same kind of chucks up for grabs for the aerial FFA

Dude.. Wonderful. Absoluetly wonderful.

I make a whole lot of DIY's myself, and ive had the pipe-insultation for foam chucks idea before, but never got around to making a pair.

You wouldnt mind helping me out a bit?

I really just want to make a couple foamies suffient for sparring, and also some foam Tonfas. Any suggestions or maybe a private tutorial of how you get the foam to stick would be apprciated.

Anyways, sick chucks man, your definatly have some real creativity flowing when it comes to decorating your chucks.

Also, are those U swivels in the 2cnd pic? Awesome.

thanks guys for the vote of approval.

and vypor i used some watered down elmers glue brushed on to the wood near the tip because when you pull the foam over it will "push" the glue down and the electrical tape is just an added visual and structural support.make the foam a little longer than the chuck handles so the tips dont poke out if your using for sparring.

yes they are some old dolans i made newb friendly .

oh and i got all the stuff from Home Depot the foam was 97 cents for 3 pairs of chucks worth when you go just get the dowels and take them to the plumbing section and try the pipe insulation to make sure it fits snuggly.

oh and i got all my tape from http://www.tapebrothers.com/ they freakin rule!

Qwerty man thats insane! Id love to have a set of those beauties. I tried making foam once before, but th foam kept peeling off, and then i bent the metal pole inside them somehow -.- Rip my fave set of chucks, destroyed to make failed foam ones.

How did you get the wrap on them soo even? Mine always looks uneven. +karma!
