i would say go for Chinese style..for public demos..they look amazing. Check out Steph's Channel - Nunchina.. on youtube.
It has great videos.
all you need to learn is the footwork while chucking...you got a month left.so get to work Marcus  :thumb:
im sure you'll do just fine.

PS: 3 min..is kind of long for a demo though i would go for 1 min singles take a break and come back later with 1 min doubles. If its possible.
Good luck!
Oh yeah and another thing...sneak there a thumb roll and an under the leg aerial..people will be impressed.
this way you keep it simple and no droping...
To be a champion, you must know defeat!

It will be your first live performance, so don't expect to do your best moves. Maybe you will be stressed and it will become even harder.
Your public probably don't know a lot about nunchaku, just do a routine with all your basics moves you can do each time with no drops.
A public who don't know a lot about freestyle nunchaku don't like drops, then just need a flashy show. But don't try to go faster than your normal speed, just dowhat you know and it will be enough.

Some tips though.
Sometimes, which the stress it's hard to begin fast. Try to start with a short and easy introduction, it will help to "enter" in your freestyle and forgetting the public around.
It's even more stressful to start with a drop.

Most demonstrations start with a single nunchaku part and finish with a doubles nunchaku part.

You can also watch a lot of live performance to be inspired, but just do YOUR freestyle, you don't have to do the best performance ever.

Good luck for your performance!
Just have fun, give your best and enjoy this amazing moment!

:2thumbsup: Thank you for the tips guys, I already accepted the invitation from my boss, I'll regard all your tips...
Sorry Levi about the thumb roll, it will take time for me to do it, I don't know why but I'm kinda bit slow in learning finger rolls, but I'll try...
Your right Steph the people here in Oman don't know about nunchaku, so simple figure 8 will make them fascinated...

Marcus, one little tip for you. Start off doing single chucks with a second pair stuffed in your belt behind your back. If you drop the first pair just calmly grab the second pair from behind your back and continue on where you left off. When you are ready for doubles you can pick up the first pair. :chuck:

That's a nice idea. I'll keep it in mind if I have to perform like Marcus has.

Hi Marcus, if you change the date there almost one month to train like a madman,
if the problem is the placing of the nunchaku would advise you not to use throw moves,
but I wish you good luck sure you will very well
