Okay so ive been thinking about building a new set of chucks which are really simple to build however i have come across a glitch...

Here is my basic design of how to connect...

So what i am after is a ring of cord. no links. no knots. Just a simple looped bit of cord.

The wooden dowels will be hammered into the chuck securing the loop.

I have looked for a long time to find something like this and havnt been successful.

For example this but cord of some kind. looking for about 3 inches in length.

Any help would be great!

Sorry the pic is the wrong way. Cant seem to get it working

What if you take a paracord and melt the ends together?

I thought about this too, but I have no other idea what to take instead of paracord :D

Another idea would be crimp sleeves

you put both ends of the cord in it and take some pliers to squeeze the sleeves.

That's all I have at the moment

Thanks for the info!

I did think about burning the two ends but was concerned about the strength of it.

Didnt think about those sleeves. They use them for music festival wrist bands. Good thinking! May give them a test out.

I tried looking for pulley rope but they are all massive. I even looked at bracelets haha! No luck.

My search continues!

Just undo the braiding of the paracord, then push the frayed ends into each other and melt that. Try it out on a test piece and see how hard you have to pull to break it.

Otherwise I can't think of any paracord that's all looped up, you might just be stuck tying it....
