I thought of making a separate category for babies(using baby chux)

I'd be tempted to start trying to make a baby for this cuz it'd be awesome lol xD

LOL

Anyways, for the score system, I guess we'll need to formally define and specify each trick, so we can evaluate 'em for technical execution, speed and complexity level.
That could help to keep judgements as objective as possible.

But this is a freestyle forum, so we also will need to about being too strict when specifying details for each trick.

I got the feeling that freestyle was just as much about visual appeal as it is about the technicalities.  like timing on changing styles at the same time a beat in a song changes.  so i guess my question would be "should there be points for style too?".

I think it's a must in this case. The problem is how to define what is stylish and flashy in a performance.
Most likely it'll be the most subjective point of all.

Maybe a diverse jury? I mean, we have both chuckers more inclined to the martial side of freechaku, and chuckers of the most artistic side. That should help to properly evaluate both sides of the coin.

The moment we start evaluating by grades how a nunchaku is thrown and then caught back in an aerial will be the end of freestyle.
Here, have a guy execute 5 and only 5 tricks perfectly. Perfect 10s. All of them. In 30 seconds.
Have another guy with a huge repertoire of 'sketchy' tricks. Have him blast your eyes off for 2 mins.
Now judge.

I said it numerous times, I'll say it again: it's FREEstyle. When it ceases to be freestyle just to become 'another competition sport', I'll take my memories of what it used to be and live and spin with them.

Peace.
