Hey guys.. to begin my name is Raoul and i live in the Netherlands in a village near Rotterdam.
I first found out about nunchuks a lot of years ago when 2 uncles came by and showed me some of their skills they remembered from when they practiced it theirselves, and ofcourse due to Michelangelo, still <3 him :D
After watching them spinning those chuks around like crazy i started to thing: What the fuuuuuuuuuck, i want to learn that as well.
Unfortunately for me my parents never let me buy the chuks.. 'They are too dangerous'.
But luckily last year when we went on vacation to the USA I came along some shops in Chinatown in San Francisco where they sold some cheap ass foam chuks, so I eventually managed to buy them and train a little bit.
When i came home and after training with those chuks i found out they sucked to be honest, so there i stopped training for a while as well.
So a few months ago i went to Dordrecht ( a city in the Netherlands ) and in the window of the Dump shop i could see some better foam nunchuks (Black/Yellow ones) so i bought those.
When i came home i just trained for a bit and a few days later i made a wooden set together with my dad.
So now, a few months later i grabbed those foam chuks and started training again.
Well i know a few basic passes now, and a wrist spin when i start off with a 8 figure.
Any tips on what to train or w/e would be really appreciated :)
O yeah, i'm 14 years old :P

hiho and welcome.
if you want my advice, try and get your hands on a pair of chux that is not padded, hide them under the bed so your parents wont see them  :-D

Hi Raoul,

Welcome to the forum!

LifeIsLoud already linked you up to my blog site, so have a good look around on there and understand what kind of moves you can do with chucks. Then get a good understanding of the basics...

Planes
Wrist rolls
Bouncing
Passes
Aerials

Good luck with your practice, let us know how it goes  :-)

Well from now on i'm going to try to give an update of every day when I practice :P
Yesterday my parents took in my foam chux because i hit my mom's tea cup with it and broke it :P
and then they stole my wooden ones :(
Oh well, i'll have em back 2morro :P

Currently i'm focussing on the Planes, Bouncing and Passes, only Wristroll that works most of the time is Back2Front and Front2Back..

Oh well that's it for today :)

Try to train outside in the backyard or anywhere else where you can't smash anything.
But watch the police, they aren't allowed in netherlands yet  :-D
Thanks for introducing yourself.

Have a great stay and good luck!

  • A band based on plan, a plan based on a band.
just take it easy, start by going slow with new moves to gain full controll and then you can speed it up a notch.
just take it slow in the beginning :-)
