I really want to become good with nunchakus but I can't train with them in public areas or in school.
Any one know a good substitute to nunchakus or training exercises?

Take care!

Yea poi is a very similar substitute.  But if your saying you need a substitute because you dont have room to practice then poi would be just as hard to try inside.  Pen spinning lol?  Mini-chucks?

i have this little key chain, and its like stretchy, and i swing that when im in a place where i cant use my chux, or im in a tight space.
its like a coil? and its made of a rubbery material. you can get them from any cheap dollar store.

Thats a good idea bro.  You could prolly make a small monkeyfist knot with like a marble in it(Something small and heavy) and you can use them like small poi/compact poi.

i just use a key on it....
and its pretty small so when i swing it, it goes down to about my knee, and its a real good sub for poi, or if i cant do nunchaku

maybe a rope with two big knots at each end (monkey fist looks great). That can be a good substitute for public areas  :thumb:

yep! JM has a good idea, i like the key chain just because it fits in my pocket, or i can hook it on my belt if i want.
rope is just a bit harder to carry around without looking weird xD

although my keychain is bright purple, and has a little troll guy on the end  :lmfao: so i dont think i really care about looking weird hah!

A towel with a few knots worked pretty well with me when I had the itch.

Hey, I have one ball like this. It´s really very good to strengthen the grasp. It´s the roller ball. I recommend it to everybody. :thumb:

Those are some great substitutes you all are recommending.
I'm gonna try with a towel with knots, that ball thingy and I'm already training with poi since three weeks ago;P
