ISO
InSearchOf some new chuckies.  My yellow/black striped ones broke, the black with yellow bottoms are about to break, diamond plate ones are broken, eye screw chucks are difficult.  Woodalls are still rockin of course.  But I would like another pair.

Heres a basic idea of what im looking for:
Wood, tapered is fine, 12" preferred.
Chain/swivel.
Cord is fine if it comes down to it but ATM looking for some other chained ones.
Would prefer round over octo.
Medium-Medium/Heavy....nothing to over the top heavy.
I like a 2 1/2-3 1/2" connection, but im willing to give a little longer connec a try.

or

Some chinese chucks(Like Levis or whatever)But the people that own those on here are usually overseas, so these will prolly be a no on the shipping.

or

Some plain jane prochux.  Dont have to be mint condish, but they need to last a while.  Nothing really matters on the Pros besides condition and price.  Wood type and all that doesnt really matter.

If you do have some you would like to sale, it wont be right away that I would be able to afford them(Out of work sucks)  but I would like to see some options.

Other thing, if you know where to get some chucks like these online that dont have a shipping cost of shipping a battle tank let me know. But I would like to deal with some peeps on here that I know.  But if I can I might also try to order some Pros from Lee too.

DIYs are welcomed!

till you get a decent pair
 PVC chux work for me.
costs under $10 to make,
and if you dont bash them onto things they last for a long time.
i also stuff mine to add weight to them.
Without ALL of us together, we wouldn't be nearly as strong, or learn as much. But together, we change the history of everyone we meet. Together everyone has a huge impact.

Did you see that chucks site I posted a link to on product stores and reviews? You can get round tapered dragon carved oak chucks with chain for $6.. I also believe they have the century bearings in them.

I have some pvc's but I cant get them weighted right for me personally, same goes for my 3 section set.  I havent been able to make another balanced set like my black n yellow SPRO sets in awhile.

Yea I saw that.  I just have no experience with BB chucks, I hear things like "Wow BB chucks suck they break so easy" and also "Ive had my BB chucks for like 6 years they rock!", so idk.

Apon that I made these chucks just now. Pressing the pin in I accidentally cracked the top.... But if you stick to freestyle I doubt it will cause problems. 12x1" sticks and 5" chain, oak. The links aren't welded, so if you want it shorter just grab two sets of pliers. Weight: 8 grams.

I had to take apart my four section chucks to make these, but until you come across some super nice chucks you'll have these to use. I'll get them out tomorrow and HOPEFULLY the post won't lose them like your firechucks.  :doh

ATM no I dont have nothin but a little silver change lol.  But I definately want to get some pros when 30-40 bucks rolls around.

Those are some nice DIYs BG.  Lol my SPRO chucks, both of them cracked at the top just like that when I was setting the swivs in, but they worked for a long time.  I think I may take out the swivs and drop some paracord in there.  How much for those bro?

I was implying they're free!  :2thumbsup: Hell why not, I've got enough chucks now, if someone needs some chucks but can't afford them I don't mind paying $5 to give away some stuff I have laying around.

I made some short cords out of the other parts of the four section chucks that I'll put in the box too. Test video, with some Turisas.  :chuck:

Looks like they spin like butter!  Am I on point?

Man I love TURISAS!  I saw them Tyr, Eluvietie, and Ensiferum in San Antonio when the Pagan Fest(1) rolled around....them and Eluvietie destroyed that show!  Excellent showmanship.

BATTLE METAL!

SPRO's do spin like butter, these are smoother than cord or BBs. But after a while they start getting broken in if you know what I mean and tend to make just a little bit of a metal against metal noise. I hear from Levi that those Chinese chucks spin just as smooth BTW. I'm surely getting two pairs of those at some point. and thanks.

Yeah, Turisas needs to come out with a new album though. When I played keyboard I used to be able to play the guitar from Rasputin on it.  :greendude:

I know SPROs rock, I would reccomend them to ANY DIYer.  But yea after awhile they will sound like annoying scraping metal.

A new album from them would definately be refreshing.  If you havent seen em live, I highly say try your hardest to, because they put on a serious show.
