Hello guys, or girls

recently i made two pairs of nunchucks,

they are both 10 and 1/2 inches long

but i made them out of a old bow staff, from scouts.

all the chucks i see are thin comppaired to mine,

they have a diameter of 1 inch, is there any problem, i know its all preference.

thanks for the help

For comparison:

Prochux are almost 15/16 of an inch

My regular taper chux are 1 1/4 at bottom, 1 inch at top.

So, I don't think that 1 inch is too thick, but if you don't feel comfortable go for less than an inch  :thumb:

Yes its all preference.  I try to make sure I can play with all sizes of chucks length and width.  When I play with a thicker chuck I prefer it to be longer, so maybe its the shortness of the chuck that makes the 1" diameter seem akward or strange.  Like my 1"-1 1/4" taper octos are 14" long which makes it flow better and easier being so thick and heavy.  I found my favorite is 7/8" diameter at 12" and 14" inches long.  Preferably an oak or something not overly light like a pine or plain ol' hardwood from Home Depot.  DIY it up, and see what you like.
