Just a quick note. I've seen posts elsewhere on foamies, I don't like them personally, too light and they feel like kiddie toys. But I did buy a pair of them w/bb awhile back and broke one of the handles (accidently, of course). Anyway, I took the endcaps off and slid hardwood dowels back inside the plastic tubing to fix the cracked one and balance the other. Big difference. I like to use them when working on something new, which is why I got them in the first place (I hate that pop in the back of the head). Low tech, cheap, easy fix. Can't tell by looking anything ever happened but makes a big difference in the action. Be sure to glue the endcaps back on securely along with the dowel :thumb:

foamies do have a tendency to die very quickly in my hands :P

better off making corded thin dowels then wrapping them with foam and tape tbh.
much cheaper too, most foam chucks ive seen retail for more than standard wax-woods.

Like I said, I don't care for them myself, I think I broke them within a week. Beginners may or anyone wanting to spar with chucks will need them. Someone had asked a question about them elsewhere so I just thought I'd throw that out there. I have 14 pairs of wood so I know what you mean. Matt, no doubt, your vids are smokin' :respect:

Yo, I'm a beginner I bought some foam chucks to start learning.... after a week I stopped using them. I love my wood chucks! so far I have smashed my ankle, my head twice, crunched my rib cage, I came close to getting a blak eye. I've started practicing doubles and smashed my hands a couple of times. I made fire chucks and burnt my arm first burn! O well its been about three months since I started, I dont smash myself bad any more, I am trying harder tricks I just keep dropping them now  :? wood is definitely the way to go!
