Does anyone know a good way to remove the paint from wood chucks?
I got some black bb chucks I want to paint white, but I'd have to remove the paint first so the black won't show through. Anyone know a good way of removing paint without damaging the wood?

Sandpaper. Coarse stuff to get the paint off first, then finer stuff to smooth it off and ready it for the coat you want to put on.

I tried just sanding before... spent all day with multiple sheets of the rough stuff and I still couldn't get down to bare wood. I'm thinking I'll try buying some paint remover.

Go to auto parts store and get 'Aircraft Stripper', you will need a mask, but it will remove every thing. A better option might be to use a white oil-based primer, two coats of Kilz will cover the black for good and leave a bright white surface.

Well it seems like this was already resolved, but I was gonna say, you could use gasoline, paint thinner, turpentine... Just about anything that's petroleum based should remove the paint.
