Hello!! Today i was inspired, and i decided to make some nunchakus with 2 canes i bought recently.

What a better purpose can have two almost identical canes?? Make a good pair of nunchuks and a three-section staff. That's their maximum aspiration.  :chuck:

So, I cut them in a four sticks of 32cm, and 3 of 57cm. I read that whould be 60cm, but  i had no enought bamboo, so i did with 57cm. It works well anyway.

I make the holes to enter and exit the string from the cane, and i used the natural holes from bamboo to make the loop.

I pass the cords through the canes, and make the knots.

Then I realized the knots were so disturbing 'cos they were too much big. So i did an extra bigger hole on each knot to hide a little bit them. That worked! Now they are more smooth!

I used the same method for the three-section staff. And that's what i got.

The nunchakus are so light and fast. They are what i like to call speedchucks. Good for starting with doubles, you got no very tired while trying to get the movements.
The three-section staff has a total length of 128cm.

I know the bamboo can break easily, in fact, already broke an end of one stick from three-section staff. But nothing some tape can't solve!  :greendude: And i'll have some fun while they keep alive  :eeeh

I'll upload a vid using them as soon as i get familiar with three-section staff.  :fu:

You have any canes at home?? Already know what to do!!

Peace!

I didn't see the responses! :-P

Yeah! Make ones! But if you do, would be best if you can get black bamboo, my uncle has some and he told me it's more resistant, now I'm waiting it gets dry to make a new pair of black bamboo nunchakus!! 'Cos the first pair it's completely broken against the punching bag...  :craze
