This might be a stupid question but: when doing a hip  bounce or a upper arm bounce, should i lock my wrist or not? Kriztov had a good tutorial about it but i couldn't see what he was exactly doing with his wrists... (srry dude)

If I understood what a bounce is, I wouldn't lock my wrist, cause the bonce would end up too stiff   :|
Knowing and willing is not enough, we must apply and do !

Freestyle = freedom, there's no 'right' way.

I tend to keep my wrists loose, but I have a very relaxed style.

Try both and tell us what you think the advantages of each are  :-)

I find you can get more speed if you do lock your wrists, but relaxed takes much less effort.

i got some gifs on bouncing, ill post them soon

remember while you are watching any tutorials that you dont have to do them exactly the same. they are more a kind of guideline to show how that person does the move.

everyones different

hmmz ok, thx for the info guy's, but there are more questions  :greendude::
Firstly: if you do a bounce, then it shouldn't hurt right? or does it depend on the type of bounce? cause sometimes i do a hipbounce but dunno where my chuck exactly should bounce, and sometimes it hurts a little, does that means it's not right?.

Secondly: when the chuck is bouncing, should it REALLY BOUNCE back into the same direction?

Thirdly: when the chuck hits a part of your body when doing a bounce, should all the power be out of the chuck?

Could someone plz tell me the basics of bouncing or something?... I know freestyle=freedom kriztov , but first i wanna learn the "proper way"/the way the techniques should be" and then create my own style out of it....

Ok it shouldn't hurt at all. With a hipbounce you don't actually bounce it off your hop, but off your butt. It doesn't bounce, but it should change direction with some ease. No. The whole point of a bounce is so that you can change the direction without loosing momentom.

when i do bounces it doesnt hurt at all. i try to get the bounce as close to the cord as possible, so it hits but does not stop dead. if it hurts, try to get the cord to hit the area the chuck is hitting. if that makes sense.

                            hand is here -->
cord hits this bit of your hip--> (body)
                     chuck ends up here ^

thats rough, if you hadnt guessed. lol. the bounce comes from "pulling" the chucks back across.

the power should be "deflected" back round. as a bounce.

hope it helps

well, i've tried it with a broken chuck, but it didn't feel really comfortable... so i guess i'll have to try to figure out which part of the chuck should hit which bodypart exactly...
it's hard for me to tell weither a bounce is good or not, since i don't know how a good bounce feels hehe

p.s. my friend broke my last good chuck (on accident),  í need to wait 1 week for new chucks!  :-o :-o :-o
no training for 1 week  :-(  :|
