On monday I received my first ever Four sectional Prochux. Ive been interested in trying them for some time now., and finally had the opportunity thanks to the good folks at Precision Strikes.
The design is incredible, they are made of purple heart octagonal wood cut into four 6 inch sections with three one inch connection points. The chux are balanced and connected via the traditional Prochux method (4 cords per connection) making a total overall length of 27 inches.
FREESTYLEWhile the four sectionals are similar in alot of ways to normal chucks, they are also very different. I think with practice most moves are transferable by changing your grip. For instance for striking and certain moves like passes, body wraps, OHPs and aerials I like to use the 1rst or 4rth grip, but for wrist, thumb and finger rolls I like to use the 2nd and 3rd grips. The possibilities are endless.
COMBAT APPLICATIONSThe striking capabilities are amazing. The flexibility and design combined with the velocity these things create makes for a very effective weapon. The power is unmatched, and their maneuverability is insane. You can deliver top speed full power strikes with no kick back. They produce serious force and momentum.
The flexible design also allows for superior grappling and submissions. Locks, holds and leverage attacks are most effective.
Another thing I love about them is the way they fold up. The 27 inches can quickly become 6 inches and can be put in your pocket. They are very compact, but can be sprung open at an insane velocity.

Overall I really enjoy these things. I have been having alot of fun the last few days working with them, and Im excited to see what else is possible. If you ever have the opportunity to buy or make some some I highly recommend that you do. They are loads of fun, and make a great companion to normal chucks.
(I have some footage using them, Ill post it soon)
